A quick note on rewards being sent out

Since the packaging can be over 3 lbs, the work around for my US backers (so it isn't $15-$20) is that I will be sending out two packages. Your books will arrive as media mail, and your reward will be sent in a letter like the one pictured above! 

If you added on Priority Shipping in Backerkit, you can skip this note.

To check if your reward is being sent in two packages, I've put a note on your survey found in Backerkit if this is being done. Just in case anyone gets worried I wanted to reach out in case anyone may have this concern. We are now in November, how's the progress on shipping?

Working as fast as I can! Thank you so much for your patience during this time. I wake up, drink coffee, and start packing till the sun goes down. 

This part may slow down a bit as I will be handling more complicated packaging. International shipping is going out a little slower because of forms that have to be filled out (as well as slowly accepting how expensive it is @.@ Ouch!)

Local Pick Up?

Are you in California? I have two amazing comic book shops that are holding books so you can pick them up:

• Empire's Comics Vault in Sacramento
• Zeppelin Comics in Benicia.

Will you be at a convention on my schedule? I can hold them for you to pick up at my table! The next show I will be at is Bay Area Wizard World (November 22nd - 24th) in Oakland, California. Let me know and I'll set them aside.

Backerkit is pretty rad, there is a shipping tab that shows your progress and I couldn't help myself. Had to make a graphic of the progress and share it with you.

37% DONE! It was a slow start as I had to figure out my temperamental Rollo printer, navigating the stamps.com website, and talking with a mentor about international shipping.

But I finally got the groove of getting your books out the door much faster. Even had a few backers send me pictures of receiving the book (ahhhhh! Best feeling in the world).

Now is the time to make sure your address is correct before it’s too late. If you need to update please PM me on Kickstarter and I will update it on the backend.

Books have arrived!

Loooooooooook! AHHHH! The ones pictures on the left? Those are only half of the pallets being shown. They came on 6 OF THOSE this past Tuesday. When I started Above the Clouds, as a comic creator you dream of certain moments to work towards. One of them was running my own Kickstarter, and another was the day I'd get to see my own mountain of books.

You often see other creators post their mountain of boxes containing books, and I was always "One day, that will be me!" 

So here are mine. Dream big guys!

About those slipcases

I need to send off an email to the project manager to get an update, but the slipcases didn't arrive with this shipment. In previous emails there was a delay in their creation due to materials being out and needing to be reordered. Thankfully, those will be aired instead of shipped so hopefully they wont arrive too late.

This means that anyone with a slipcase, your order will still be on hold until they come in. They are SUPER GORGEOUS and they will be worth that final touch. I will keep you up to date on all the latest information and hopefully i can get you a good time frame of when they will arrive.

Okay, that's it for now. I'm dropping off a first batch of books this morning! For those who first get your books, send pictures. I want to gobble all of them up and appreciate your joy too :3

Books are at the Port!

Good news, the books made it to port safely on October 5th! At this moment they are probably going through the process of being unloaded and checked which may take up to an additional week. We shall see how things go with tariffs (cross fingers).

When I started the rewards I envisioned laying all of them out when I was finished. I have 12 more to go but I couldn't wait. Looooooooook at how many there are! AHHHH!
